anyone here have a jerkin for Jerkey? just thought I would share my preferred brand

Nothing I like better than some good beer and some fine dehydrated meat:D

some of the best i have had, so if you have a hankering!

i tend to order one of these a month or so.

Don't buy store brands that put god knows what additives in the meat.
Make you own jerky. It's way easy.
My buddy bought an electric smoker that he also uses for jerky.
He uses a prime or choice cut of beef, then marinades it (he prefers teriyaki), then sticks in the smoker until it dries to the desired consistency.
If it will be consumed immediately or short amount of time, he leaves it moister.
For long-term storage, he dries it further.
You can also make jerky with your grill, as he used to.

thanks for the reply Sub. Ive debated taking a try at Indian or Middle eastern influenced version, something spicy with a good chew. My attempts so far have been above mediocre at best, cant quite capture the flavor profiles i want in my Green Egg..


damn this thread. now im looking at $500 Dehydrating machines....

mmmmmmm deer jerkey is amazing! wish i knew how to do it myself, but trading my buddies for beer will have to suffice for now
