I installed a Beringer 2D1 rear caliper today and the power seems nonexistent. I tried bleeding the caliper right side up to get the bubbles out but the caliper is very weak. Do you guys have any suggestions?
Providing the lever is firm, that may be all the caliper has to offer. My CNC Brembo does not grip like the OEM caliper does. It has less overall exertion on the rotor surface, but better modulation and feel. That combined with a cast iron rotor adds control to the rear braking, but not more braking pressure.
Did you have to do anything different to bleed the caliper since its mounted upside down? I can't seem to get the lever to firm up (no blue pill jokes please).
On my ZX the caliper actually has the bleed nippple in the up orientation when the caliper is installed underneath the rotor
On the RC I went with a cheaper caliper design and I will likely have to remove the caliper and hold it in the air with the bleed nipple up to get it to bleed the air properly. This is not uncommon with a lot of Ducati's as well.
