What would yield me a better performance gain for the money?
Sato Banzais or Turnone airbox and snorkel?

I already have the yoshi ems, flapper delete, pair delete, and soft rev delete.

Would I see any benefit from the turn one goodies while still running a stock exhaust?

Since an engine is a glorified pump, the greater the flow the better it is.
So I'd say pipe first, then airbox.
Of course you'll need a power commander to ensure the air/fuel ratio is set for 13.2:1 for best power.

^how so? I thought sato banzais were easy to buy brand new?
sato has them listed on their site...
as does sportbiketrackgear
and dan kyle

Are sato banzai pipes hard to find now?? sub?
I have the yoshi ems so I am good as far as engine management goes

I agree go with exhaust first. The only way to make the airbox work is through custom tuning. If you have an SP2 then Sato's are easy to find.

I have been looking at your exhaust for quite some time but to tell you the truth I am not a fan of the small cans. Do you have cans that are the same dimensions as the sato?

they are all built to your specs at Black Dragon

there are many sizes, shapes, and lengths as well as material options

also can do HRC size 98mm ones too

I have a 2-1 full exhaust in SS i can have a larger round, oval or even twin ballfe tri oval to go on too for you

They're not listed on Sato's site anymore. Only low mounts.

banzias = very high mount and those are completely sold out everywhere dan kyle himself can't get on for himself if he tired

the sato's low mounts are still out there and easy to get

good luck

while I totally agree that exhaust is the way to go for a bigger gain I disagree that you need mapping to get gains from an airbox/snorkle mod. Now I will say you will get maximum gains with mapping but you should still see a bump in power from increasing airflow. Its similar to putting an intake on a car you will see a minimal gain from just bolting it on but if you can flash a chip for it to make the most out for the increased flow you can maximize resluts..

mrgrn- thanks for the response. I look forward to working with you soon to have a exhaust fabbed. Would you need me to ship you the mid pipes for you to do the work?
