And promptly jumped on it!

Just picked up my first RC51. Looked good ran good no problems.......until.

I got back late and left it on the truck until this morning. Unloaded it and started right up. Just drove it over on to my front walk way so the kick stand was resting on cement instead of dirt. Went out registared, insured etc. Came back grabbed my gear and hopped on to take a ride. Flipped the key and no instrument lights but the fuel pump ran. I hit the starter button and nothing. I got to work and sure enough it was a blown fuse for the tail lights (hence the cluster in the dark). The previous owner has a "custom" LED tail light conversion. Still hunting the short.

My question is will this fuse not allow the engine to run?

Thanks,

Further.............I looked at it sternly and it started! No idea what I did to let it crank but it did. I wasted no time grabbing my gear and taking it for a 5 minute tear up the road...............................words cannot describe the joy I am feeling:D

Still going to have to dig into the wiring further and discover the shorted wire.

Thanks for the diagram.

I found the source of the short the LED strip for the license plate is bad. Pulled lead off and everything is good. Went for a great ride with a buddy of mine and his Ducati 848. So glad I picked up this bike.:D
