Alright, demand for carbon ? Seems to be some...

Not up and running yet but I hope to have some items ready by early to late September after I am back from my family vacation.

( below is a copy/paste from the T1 group buy thread. )

Update on things,
I own the following molds right now ( T1 mk2 snorkel, T1 sp2 airbox, T1 carbon frame covers ) they are yet to be shipped as I am still paying off things with Brett.

I am also picking up the road fairing molds ( Front cowl, Left and Right cowls ) as some interest was shown in these.

Also, picked up a magical racing tail with undertail off Simon for the Suzuka 8hr tail project.
Simon is helping to locate some suitable aftermarket light housings. I am hopeful that he comes up with what is needed... but if not back to my original plan.
I have also acquired a Squidskins airbox ( thanks kpowe1 )
Will be looking at getting an ETI fuel cell if possible to aid in making the T1 openbox fit it as I have had a request for that.
Will be starting a new thread soon regarding everything. Just gathering molds, supplies and training myself in the practice of wet lay. I have some good help here... master fiberglass shipbuilder. He will be helping with the making of new molds.

Any interest in items or suggestions and or hate mail  too my pm box please.
To those guys that have pm'ed me with interest in parts, thanks for the support.
My 1st priority is quality.

Sweet, Does that mean John wins a free air box or something?:D LOL
He hates carbon fiber... mrgrn hurt him deep inside.:D

But he did not guess right... he only got half of it.
I am not sure of a brand name yet honestly, I guess I should become a lifetime member now eh ? Lol

Duck Pond Composites? Since when do composites get made by a duck pond?
Or maybe it's Duck Pro Composites?

Man, you must have a serious thing for ducks! :D

Brutal honesty here my good friend Duckhunter: Not the best name.
This is the meanest thing I will probably ever say to you, but it's kinda ... ah, I can't say it.
I suggest some more consideration of the name.
But that's just me.

Again Congrats on the {...highbrow - cough..} acquisition! Looking forward to some quality parts. Hope you can make a go of it.

I said much the same thing (via e-mail), Jon.
A great souding name & a funky looking logo are important with things like this... Not something easily forgettable! :)

Turn One was a good name because it's directly related to motorcycle racing. The association between the product and the industry was obvious for the target market.
imo.

Well I already said it was not a permanent name !
.... funny really, I used it as a good opportunity to seek input from all of you guys here.
Open to suggestions...

We have a few...
Stig suggested Bouxhaus
Sbkdrew said Duckbutter ahahaha !!
James03 said Duckone or Turnhunter
Maybe I shall go with no name brand at all ?
Perhaps a logo of a duck in a pink tutu ?:rolleyes:

John, I have a hard time taking offence to much, I had a hard time in life in my earlier years and don't let much get me going honestly... I laugh it off for the most part.
Your gonna say it sounds ghey ?or korny ? Go ahead I could really care less...
Throw out some good stuff for options gents.

Maybe go back to the drawing board and think of a symmetrical name. Radar would be an example of a symmetrical word. Always useful for logo designs. ;)
Then find someone really good at art, to make a nice logo design for you. Something people would be proud to stick on their bikes...

Or you could turn the Nicky Hayden logo into an angry looking duck... Quack! :D

I don't know what kinda of nme your seeking but I'm seeing a mighty ducks symbol for a logo or something similar lol. Or maybe a duckskull ha
That sounds awesome...lmao. think maybe the k should be dropped from duck? Duchunter....either way just make some awesome parts and let the name come to it! Most definitely saving me nickels for one of them their tails. Congrats...make us all proud!:D

Now that you have the molds, all playing aside. Personally, I like "TurnHunter" for the following reasons:
-It pays homage to where where you got your first molds and the start to hopefully long and prosperous endeavor.
-it has a reference to the one thing we all love to do on our RC's and other motorcycles, hunt the back roads for that perfect turn.
-lastly, It relates to your screen name.

Or I'm sure we could come up with something where you could use a mythological creature as a logo and some ill placed "z's" in the name:p:D

Ladybird may sound ghey, but the pipes look sweet. Nobody really sees the airboxes.

he should make the HRC woody, but with a duck instead of the woodpecker. lol

Ladybird is a cool name, Ladybugs are bred and are used here locally to control the Aphid problem, they release a few hundred thousand every spring.

Glad this thread is getting some suggestions going, was the point.
Nice logo there, I am lost with the name and logo, lol... I have been looking at all sorts of things.
It will fall into place I am not too worried about it.

Went to see John, the master fiberglass shipbuilder I met.
I am looking at about a few days worth of labour with him at $55 an hour to get a good mold for the end result I want.
We will be making a plug and most likely a two piece mold.
When the tail arrives I will proceed with John to create a 1st stage plug and then modify the plug into my own design of " suzuka replica tail " with provisions for mounting the lights.
The hatch is a sweet feature I like about the magical race tail which will be included.
The mounting points are to be strengthened as well.
I am looking at UV inhibitors and different epoxy/resins... as I want a quality finish, and I am learning a lot.
These tails will most likely only work with a race cut subframe due to where the lights will be.
