Hi, so i ordered a used stator from a crashed bike same year as my own and i am going to change it my self or atleast try to change it my self... I have never done it before and any help would be really appreciated i ordered a new gasket also , what do i need to think about when doing it?

We don't have stores that fix stators or sell them so only option was to buy it from a store that sells used parts , i know in usa there is some good store to get new or fixed ones but that was not a option right now since i live in Scandinavia 😊 thanks for any help

get some long m6 bolts and cut the heads off them.

after you've removed the stator cover, install a few of these bolts in the holes in the crank case, this will give you alignment pins for putting the cover back on. the stator is SUPER magnetic and will pull out of your hands when it gets close, you risk pinching fingers or wrecking gaskets etc when you do this.

so just install a few of those pins, then put the gasket on the pins, then slide the stator cover back on over the pins, so it is perfectly aligned when it snaps into place. then you can bolt up the unused holes, then remove the pins and install the rest of the bolts.

Ok thanks mate, do you know if i need to put any seal glue onto the new gasket so oil does not come out ? I think i saw some thread where a guy had got oil leakage in some place and had to put gasket glue or seal glue what it is called in English i have no idea 😁

you have to put sealant on the wiring loom that comes out of the cover for the stator output. shouldn't need it on flat surfaces if you have a paper gasket.

I took of the stator cover and these dropped out from there 😁 the guy before had put sealant glue all over the place so removing it all had buy proper tools for that , does anyone have a picture how these should be inside the stator ? 😅
