Noticed that there is fluid slowly weeping from this area on the clutch slave cylinder. I am going to say this needs a rebuild. I guess I am looking at a leaking piston seal? Any advice appreciated. First time dealing with a hydraulic clutch. My other bikes are cable operated.

Not hard to replace at all.
Inspect the surface of the slave piston and cylinder for wear, scratches, etc. that can cause loss of good seal by the cup seal.
Be sure and bleed the line thoroughly, to remove air in the line and add fresh fluid.

Items: (part numbers for 2002 SP2, which may vary for your year)
#9 Cup Seal (the reason for your leak)
#6 Gasket (wil definitely need)

ive done a few, both of my RCs and my old Busa. You can get a seal kit from K&L or even a few other companies.https://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-K-L-Clutch-Slave-Cylinder-Rebuild-kit-vfr800-rtv1000-rc-51-cbr1100-st1300/293416944919?fits=Model%3ARC51&hash=item4451034517:g:dCoAAOSwK9heGEBX Sometimes its just a little grit or dirt that gets on the piston and then gets drawn under the seal, causing the leak. Pretty easy job.

The 'Sweetheart Chicago' on the bottom is a nice touch!
Love that kind of stuff.
