I have always been told that the sp-2 fuel tank will not fit on my sp-1 due to major changes to the frame after 2001. I have looked at both bike extensively, and there are obviously major changes after 01'. The frame being one of the major changes. But I am still not convinced that you can't switch body work and more importantly to me fuel tanks.
I need a fuel tank due to a large dent, and sp-2 tanks are a more common find than sp-1's and are usually in better shape. Does anyone know 100% for sure.
Have you tried to switch tanks between first and second generation rc51's ?
I need to know for sure before I go and internet purchase a fuel tank.
