I left out the two-strokes because I was more interested in the different engine arrangements.
The list could have been much longer than 10 easily, and two-strokes would've been in there for sure.
Now if you had a top 100 list, things would be bit different. :)

Yeah, the DB7 is an awesome bike.

I can't stop looking a the old school 73-74 Yamaha TZ350 and 1975 Yamaha YZR500 OW23. Seems like taking a 73-74 RD350 and making a TZ350 Jarno Saarinen or Agostini replica would be a pretty fun project. I think that will be my next project after i finish the SP1.

Well I should have something wrapped up with NUMBER ONE on the LIST this week, I just bought NUMBER TWO on the list tonite. All complete hasn't run in 4 years, BUT the gas tank was full(no rust), stored in a shed, and the clutch and brakes are NOT frozen so hope to be an easy restore. It was parked because the starter went bad.

I have a replacement head light...I believe it the same as my '77 Cutlass Supreme:D

That is a really nice find! Excellent.

My preference is DRFEELGOOD's $10,000,000,000,000,000,000.0004 RC51.....its just a bit out of my reach though...

My choices in no particular order:

Yamaha R7
Honda RC45
BMW S1000RR
Triumph Speed Triple
Triumph 675 Daytona
Honda RVF NC35
2000 Yamaha R1
Norton 961SE
Ducati 916
Ducati Desmosedici rr

No real bespoke choices in there. But it's my garage and I'll put what the f*ck I want in it. :)

I'll try to just keep it to the street:

RC30
RC45
1986 VFR750
R7
OWO1
RSV4 Factory APRC SE
SXV550
MV Senna
1198 SP
HD VR1000

And of course, even though it's not a street bike..a Britten V1000!

Ooh, I left out a bike...StreetHawk, the one from the TV show. When he hits the Turbo Boost button, did you see how fast he went? A bike that takes 90 degree bends at 300mph, I have to have. And it was a Honda underneath all of the crime fighting equipment.

LOL I came across that thread while searching; good entertainment ! :p

IMHO, it was definitely priced on the "very high" side initially (no offense to him), but I think he lowered the price somewhat (?). Never read through the entire thread to find out if it ever sold or what happened...will have to finish reading it at some point though. :D

As far as my dream garage bike list goes, I'd "settle" (sarcastic) for a RC51 SP2 for the time being and never sell it - I'm not picky! :)

One of the owners of a local Suzuki dealer has two H-D VR1000s. Worth about $250K each.

Very interesting engines in those bikes.
The engine was one that Erik Buell was planning to use in his sportbikes until H-D management nixed that idea.

In essence, the VR1000 could have been the Buell VR1000 except for the H-D idiots.
They took the design and evolved it into the V-Rod lump.
