Ducati Demo rides - Atlanta, GA

I KNOW, it's an RC forum, but free demo rides on brand new '09 Ducs
are hard to resist. If you're a kid in a candy store and you're offered
free candy, you take it, right? Anyhow, the Ducati demo truck will be
at Atlanta Motor World, 1275 Upper Hambee Rd., Rosswell, GA 30076
on Friday, March 27th, and Saturday, March 28th. Here's a link to the
dealer site: http://www.AtlantaMotorWorld.com where there's details.

This is good info. Thanks. I have been wanting to ride a 1098. I will look for this when it comes to North Texas.
I'd be surprised if they demo ride 1098's.
More likely either the Hypermotard or the Monster.
At least that's what was available during my demo ride day.
The 1100 Monster is real nice bike.
And it sounds sweet with Termingioni exhausts.
I bet your right, SubSailor. I have only started to think about a Ducati for the first time lately. It came up as what is next after the RC? I have decided I have to have a full works race bike to be happy and I like the big V-Twin superbikes so why not. I saw it has datalogging and tuning (I think) and full Ohlins. Looks good. I never liked tube type chassis though, but it obviously does it's job well based on seeing it race.
The KTM RC8 isn't bad either. It's about in the same price range as the 1198 as well.
Which is about twice what my price range is however.
I'll check it out. I have seen a few Aprillias lately also. I don't really like the looks but they appear to have nice parts too. Off the subject a little, I saw a KTM four wheeler at the motorcycle show and it was sweet. I don't know about road biles though vs like a Honda or Duc.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing, as the 1098 was
what I really wanted to ride. Maybe they'll have
some 848's available. I understand the 1100 Monster,
as you said, is a sweet bike, although I've never ridden
one. The weather doesn't look too promising for Saturday.:(

I really like the new RC8 but I have yet to see one in the flesh.
The styling kinda put me off at first, but it grows on you and I
find myself really liking it now. I was hoping the RC8 was gonna
be within my price range too, but I understand they're at $20K,
so owning one now is just a fantasy, likewise the Ducati 1198.
I guess we can thank the worthless shrinking U.S. Dollar against
the Euro for the high prices.

Yeah the closest I'll ever get to any of those bikes is my RC51.

The Wall Street/Congress collusion is causing everybody's economies to tank.
KTM recently stated that they've shelved the RC8R for now.
