I recently picked up a 2003 rc51 that already had some mods mainly a Micron Ti high mount exhaust. I am not too happy with this exhaust and want to change it to better fit me. I can't use the micron since the mid pipes affect my foot position for more aggressive riding and track. There are not too many options out there compared to my 08 600rr as far as exhaust go, but it all comes down to price and whats available (I have been looking everywhere). I hear negative things about the Jardine 2:1 system (what about the dual exhaust?), the Yosh slip ons are a good price, d&d have always been loud as hell but never heard them on a rc51, sato and akro are out of my price range. I am looking for something to allow me to have better foot position on the bike, not hinder the performance, and in the range of 400-700ish. Does anyone have suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I think one option for you is to check out mrgrn website. He has tons of pictures that can give you ideas for your mid's since you're looking for foot clearance. Go to any thread or post where you see his name - Mrgrn - and click right on the name. That'll take you to his contact page, and his website is listed there. Never dealt with him, but from all his post's, I think he's one of the best resources on this forum for exhaust.
No-he didn't pay me to say that. yet.

Thanks for the steer jon

i have a few options to help you out but the price range could be tough

i can do low mounts with stainless steel cans for around that price but the carbons and ti's go up from there

Yoshimura RS3 Dual Stainless Slip Ons, Power wise they're pretty close to what you'd get with sato and akro. There simply is not a better mid-range system out there, the dyno charts are proof of that. You will have no clearance issues.
On another note both my riding buddies have Jardine 2:1 exhausts and have had no problem, both are 3+ years old.
