Well after four months and a lot of cash and work, I finally completed the bike.
Undid all the bastardization and butchery of the previous owner.
She's all pretty now and runs beautiful.
Took her out for quick 155 MPH run with no sweat. Could've gone faster, but there some crosswinds pushing around.

I had the front forks refurbished, revalved, and resprung by Kyle Racing along with servicing and respringing of the rear Ohlins shock.
Now she handles beautifully.
And swapped the Jardine 2-1 for an Akrapovic full race system.

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback.
I know it looks like a stock RC51 with a few goodies, but if you saw the "before" pictures, you'd really really understand all the crap I had to fix.
Rusty this, missing that, bodywork all cracked up, etc.
And don't get me started on the wiring harness butchery.
Anyway, all fixed and better now.

The exhaust sounds fantastic and seat of the pants says more ponies.
The reworked suspension at both ends handles fantastic.
Now she's like an RC51 should be.

Christmas came early and I'm giddy like a schoolgirl.
I really liked it before, but now, I love this bike!!

I can only imagine. I'm gonna be going through mine at the beginning of January and be down for a couple of months. You say the body work was all cracked, did you just replace it or what? Cause my left side lower and upper are cracked and I'm looking for replacements but I'm not gonna spend the money on brandnew stock replacements and everytime I come across a good deal some bastard ebayer comes along and jacks up the price at the last second.

I replaced all bodywork with new.
The rear cowl had been cracked and the previous owner fiberglassed it.
The left lower cowl and both mount tabs near the upper cowl broken out.
The upper cowl has a hairline crack on the right side and a complete crack on the left that he had plastic welded.
The right lower cowl is the best one of all, it has a hairline crack near the upper mount tab.
I kept them in case anybody might want them.
I also have a Jardine 2-1 exhaust (no muffler) as well.
If you're interested in any of them, let me know.
I forgot, both lower cowls are drilled for frame sliders.

What are yo asking for the 2-1?
Tell you what, PM me with your email address and I'll send you some photos of it and you can make me an offer.
Just remember, there's no muffler, just pipes.

How's that for Christmas spirit?
