Gents,

Thought I better get around to creating a thread for my SP2. It is a work in progress. I purchased her from a dealer in mint condition unmodified and currently has approx 13,000 kilometres on the clock which is about 8,000 miles in US terms. This is what she has as upgrades so far.

- Flapper Valve removal with Kyle block off fitted.

- CRG roller click levers

- Proton flush mount idicators

- Hot bodies undertail fited with brighter custom LED units

- Ladybird GP slip on system, banzai mount setup with two types of DB killers for various occasions

- Power Commander 3

- 520 chain conversion with 42 rear and 15 front sprockets

- Speedo healer

- HRC quick action throttle tube kit

- Dark tint headlight covers

She was bone stock when I bought her and is now slowly evolving.

Here are some pics.

And here is where I would like to thank all hardcore members on this forum as I may not seem very active from my amount of posts but I have been spending copius amounts of time researching your threads on this forum, speedzilla and RC51.org to help me select only the finest mods for my ride.

Over the last few days I have lashed out and ordered a truck load of goodies for the SP2 which should all start arriving in the next week or so. Here is the list of what I have ordered so far.

- Carbon Fibre Fuel tank (World of QB Carbon)
- Carbon Fibre Street Fairing (World of QB)
- Carbon Fibre Front Wheel Fairing, vented (World of QB)
- Carbon Fibre Tail Section (Tyga Racing) As QB doesnt make one that retains the trunk lid
- Carbon Fibre Hugger (World of QB)
- SSB Powersport Lithium lightweight battery
- Top Triple clamp (Tyga Racing)
- GP adjustable clip ons (Apex)
- Healtech GI Pro Gear Indicator (Ebay)
- Oh and ofcourse an Ohlins HO204 rear shock (Kyle Racing)

I also have some Kyle smog block off plates at home which I have been to lazy to remove the pair system and fit.

I do have a question for you all though, I am still trying to decide on some rear sets. I was keen on Sato rear sets until I read the warning on their site that warned that these rearsets will not suit someone who is going to do wheelies, I am definately no stunter or pro rider but I do like the occasional wheelie. I am open to all suggestions for some sexy looking yet durable rearsets for the SP2.

Heres some pics of the products i've currenly got on order. I will post up the pics of them going onto the SP2 when all parts arrive. Im looking at about a 4-5 week wait on the CF gear but everything else will arrive sooner obviously.

Thanks again for your help guys. You may not think you have helped but this forum is where I did most of my research on the SP2. Cheers.

That will be a nicely dressed sp2, post up the results of the QB products...
The QB tank is a nice touch as well

They had a fair amount of problems with the ethenol reacting with the resins used to make those tanks.

Keep the pictures comming as Makis said.

Thanks Duckhunter. I did my research and queried QB on the tanks reliability and longevity, I have been assured that there are no issues and any faults eg leaks that may arise will be under full warrantee of workmanship and materials. Fingers crossed.

Glad to hear they offer the warrantee to cover any possible issues...
I am looking forward to your updates on the QB product... sorry my timeframes did not work for you.

On the rearsets, I own a set of Silver anodized Satos...
I am about 190 and they do flex a little when I stand up on them, I do not think they would snap or break off in a hard landed wheelie though.

If you want some that are a little more built, try SimonkobeJapan for a set of the next best or better in some opinions...

Moriwaki rearsets in Silver or Black anodize.

Would look the biz.

All is good Duckhunter, I understand you are a busy man. I just got the itch and needed to get some CF on the SP2. Cheers for the tip on the rear sets I'll have a look at them.

Thanks for that James.

Does anyone here know if cycle cat is still in business, I've seen their rear sets and they look a treat, although I have emailed them with no reply and tried calling a couple of days ago and the line was disconnected.

Also I ve read some good reviews on the tech g rear sets.

Cycle Catz is a hit and miss company... some get results and others get what you have, nothing.
They seem to be off and on again off and on again...

Nice looking bike, it's coming along nicely. As far as rearsets go, i'd go with Moriwaki's or the TSR's Simon has gotten them to resupply a few sets of.

Thanks GTS, I was recently offered a set of TSR's but I looked them up and they dont seem to have the kind of adjusability I am after. Im now leaning towards the tech g's as they look very similar to moriwaki or sato's at about half the cost and have read alot good reviews on them. I will give it some time though as I am awaiting an email reply from cycle cat, ultimately I want the cycle cat rear sets but they are uncontactable, so I will just have to settle for another proboably. Thanks for the reply.

Well the cycle cat dude never got back to me, Well I've gone against what I previously said. I wass going to go for the tech g's but after careful consideration and reading literally hundreds of reviews, I decided to go for a set of Sato's, 1000 blowflies cant be wrong ,right.

I ordered them from Kyle racing in silver. Have done a few dealings with Kyle racing now and cannot fault the customer service or prompt delivery of items. Will continue to deal with Kyle for any future purchases.

I wont post a pic as im sure everyone knows what they look like.
