gas tank leak

i noticed that there has been some gas under my bike and i looked up under the tank and evrything seems dry except for the rear mount i herd this is prity commen and i also saw that there might of been a recal on this can anyone give some more information about this i have an 03

residue under tank on 2000

I have a 2000 rc51 and have noticed an oily residue at the bottom of my tank back at the seat. It makes it way all the way down the kickstand to the floor when not ridden for awhile. thought I may have over filled with oil but am not sure
