after i bought my superhawk i didn't ride the gixxer too much.
i also hated the seat on it, feels like sitting on the narrow side of a 2x4. i even tried a corbin and that didn't help enough.
then i found out about the frame safety campaign.
i'm getting too old for a gixxer.
i love the BOOMING sound of a v twin.
time to move on, though i still am sad. i'll get over it.
Sounds familiar.
I also have an '05 Hayabusa and I hardly ever ride it.
My RC51 is my play toy.
The reach to the 'Busa's bars is way to far for my arms and makes my back hurt.
I had to install adjustable rearsets and bars to make it comfortable enough to ride longer distances.
I can't enough about the engine though. It is an amazing motor.
Tons of torque and enough power to rip your arms off, yet gets 41-45 MPG on the freeway at 80 MPH.
I've been thinking about getting rid of it in favor of an Aprilia Tuono.
I've ridden a buddy's and it's a very nice bike.
the gixxer's motor is amazing too. i have no problem with obscene hp. i looked at busas and wondered why they have an extreme rising position, they are not tracke bikes. maybe dragstrip seating position?
here's how i see it: the higher the weight, the higher the comfort. think caddillac.
i guess i might be missing the point.
