Neat little story here.

Last summer there was a ribfest competition in the City with various north american participants. Good food, beer and bands. Win win win. When you try real bbq the difference is huge from masses. So much better.

Smokin Guns was there and had the best sauce imo. Straight outta KC, which wasn't surprising (other than the fact that they were in Canada in bbq competitions). Amazing stuff. The problem was I only bought one bottle and that didn't last long. So I patiently waited for spring here so nothing will freeze in shipping. I wanted more, lots more, BUT they don't ship to Canada.

Well, a member here helped me out. What a great guy; he picked it up and shipped it to me. It wouldn't have been possible without him. I'll let him self-identify if he wants. And what a great community we have here. He even trusted me enough to pay for it himself and ship before I gave him any money. The BBQ sauce is on its way to me now.

Back to the sauce... Smokin Guns have been world champions in BBQ, and they have a lot of awards (check out their info page and competition page). Amazing sauce. They're in Kansas City, which is known as one of the best places in the world for BBQ. Watching Anthony Bourdain go there as part of his tv show was excellent.

The mild sauce was what I knew (tasted) and primarily went for. The hot version is newer but they told me it is selling very very well and out at times. So I got a bit of that too.

All of you in the US can order this without any problem.

I was glad to help you out K!!!

It was a win win for both of us, I now know of a new BBQ joint in KC to go eat at this year.

Maybe ones of these days if you decide to go to Blues, Bikes, and BBQ in Fayetteville, AR you can stop through KC and try some of the BBQ places here. :D

There's quite a network of peeps on this forum who help each other out with stuff not related to motorcycles. I've worked with Makis, Stig, and Madbuyer in the last 3 years.
It's a great place to be - our RC51 forums! Great bunch of people here!
