At some point, the rubber boots on the back of the headlight housings were removed. This allowed dust, dirt, leaves, and water into the housings. Now that I have replaced the boots, I'm wanting to get the housings as clean as possible. This is where I have some questions.

A. How difficult is it to separate the housings to get inside??
B. What problems will I encounter by doing this??
c. Is it best to just leave them alone and not mess with them??

They aren't horrible. I could probably live with them as they are. If it will cause issues, I'll just leave them alone.

Thanks

It is a pain to separate them. That was my stance when I installed the eye brow lights on the first RC. Correct me if I am wrong, I believe they are epoxy glued together. (They wouldn't budge if they were sonic welded)

I was afraid I would break a sealing bead or damage the refective materials inside.

In the end, I took a straw and taped it to the end of a shop vac and cleaned out the shavings etc that way through the head ligt hole.
