Well, I don't own all of an RC51, but I have acquired an SP2 front clip. And I intend to use that to upgrade my RC46, aka VFR800. This change will reduce sprung weight, as well as de-link the brakes, and lose a fair bit of hydraulic complexity too.

I've been riding on OEM forks with custom Traxxion innards and a 2-way Penske out back. This hybrid effort should improve the physics out front; a followup effort will reduce the mass at the rear. But I'll still keep the hard bags for sporty touring throughout the Appalachian, Green, White, and Smoky mountains.

As already posted in the for sale section, I am still seeking an SP1 lower triple clamp (and steering stem) which will facilitate this hybrid conversion. Plz contact me if you have a spare.

Thanks,
-Kirk A

This one is mine, and the photo was taken at the southern end of the Pepacton Reservoir, along NY-30. Those who have experienced these winding sweepers might share a smile. It is shown here in touring mode. The RC46 is the colloquial name for the VFR800 Interceptor, based upon the prefix of the serial number and including a hat tip to the RC45 engine cases that they used for this '98-01 generation V4 motor.
