I recently managed to link my VTR 1000 SP-1 2001 ED PCIIIr to my laptop (archlinux x86_64 > virtualbox > WIN10 x86_64 > pciisoft2000.exe) and retrieved the current map. It seems someone in the past modified not only fuel but also ignition advance. Here is the ignition map tab:

I have read in the past that fiddling with advance is dangerous. Should i turn everything to zeros?
The motorcycle has a K&N filter and Leo Vince slip-on mufflers. Other than that it seems stock.

The stock timing is giving away noticeable power compared to even the zero map in a IIIr. I've still got the disc that came with mine , I just don't know where my wife keeps it for me. 🤣 It's been years since I set it up , I've got a Yoshimura map in it I got from a guy that raced Battle of the Twins and Sound of Thunder with a couple of RC's. The above chart looks conservative to me.

Did you ever change it back? How did it run?

Yes, as noone ever replied, i turned all to zeros.
It felt negligibly less responsive at low rpms but with advancing it felt a bit harsh, same feeling when using RON 100 fuel. I suppose advancing calls for new fuel map/dyno tuning.

More advance will make it go leaner.
