I found this sitting in a box the other day and do not need it. Looking to see if anyone could use it. The small plastic register pin for the OEM handlebar has been removed. It will still work with the OEM stuff or aftermarket bars. Lets say $20.00 plus shipping and its yours.

Dutchy, hope the customs inspectors there in the Netherlands aren't as heavy handed as those in the UK. I sold a real nice '79 RD-400 Daytona Special Ram Air Cylinder Head to a fellow enthusiast in G.B. Guy paid $390.00 for the head (roughly 1/4 of the original cost of a complete, new Daytona Special bike back in the day!) Another $78.00 USD for shipping and insurance. Then he had to pay another 97 pounds Sterling for the Customs Fees. All of which he was more than happy to do. So he goes and picks up the parcel after it clears customs, and takes it home. He could see that the box had been opened and inspected by customs, and re-taped shut. He opens the box to find that some heavy handed customs Agent apparently opened the box with a Samurai Sword, Tenessee Toothpick, or something similar. The nice polished end fin on one side had an "X" scratched into it, deep enough that it needs to be professionally repaired. He said he could tell my packaging job was top notch. Luckily I paid for full value insurance, and USPS Priority Mail International comes with another $200.00 of coverage automatically. I told him he needed to go have a word with those Morons at the Customs office.

I've been selling MC parts on Ebay for years, and I never take the packaging lightly. I know this small item won't be such an issue, but who knows. Maybe I put too much tape on the box, and the Agent was a bit curious if maybe there was some contraband in there?

Up to Eur 22 value, no tax or duties are levied
< euro 150 just tax (21%) plus probably a tenner "handling"
Above that valuw tax + duties (depending on what it is) + "handling"


The cheaper the shipping the better since I have no imminent need for it. "Mais je veux.." :)

The hi-beam on/off switch is farked; despite cleaning it will get stuck ON.
The Cali model doesnot have the "passing light switch"but I rarely if ever use that...

keep in mind that the euro switch is not pinned out the same way as the US switch AT ALL and has extra wires in it as well


you'll have to unpin the switch you're receiving, re-pin it, and connect a few wires for it to work properly on your bike. the US model doesn't accommodate the headlight switch, and also handles the running lights differently.

I guess Honda wanted to make things complicated when it came to the various models around the world. No worries. Maybe someone out there can use it someday. Until then it will just sit in a box.
