You wanna raise the rear 1 or 2" why in the world would you want to do that? Thats to much. What exactly are your plans for the bike because raising the rear that high will ruin any of them.
When i bought the rear Hyperpro 3D shocks, seems the height is shorter then the stock...so i oredered & fixed the the Hyperpro Raiser kit...tested on the roads feel much better on turn in...goin to test it at the track this Sunday...It cheaper then Dk link...Singapore dollars cost me at $200
i am trying to raise the tail to, please can you post some pics of hyperpro raiser kit, what does it look like,....and tell me is it better riding now, when you have raised it
If you're referring to the HRC link, it won't work as the HRC link is designed to use a shock with an eyelet lower mount.
The Dan Kyle link uses the HRC link geometry, but uses the OEM clevis style lower shock mount.
It raises the rear by around 13mm and changes the rising rate ratio from progressive to linear.
It definitely quickens the turning response. Try it with a 190/55-17 rear tire.
You may be quite pleased.
Adding the DK link precludes the use of a shim.
Both the link and the shim raise the rear and quicken the steering.
Don't do both.
With the DK link in place, the bike does lean a bit on the side stand.
You can just be careful or order an extendable side stand.
Yeah I was aware that it was one or the other, I'm just wondering if the changes to the action of the shock would be worth it on the stock showa unit.
