Anybody know of a good set up pipes to put on the RC?. Looking into a set of Two Bothers. Want something with a little more power, like I need it and good sound. Sato looked good.....but not in the budget.:D

Everyones gonna say SATO and if you don't get sato your a loser. Ignore those people get whatever you want. I think Two Brothers are fine but heard there build quality isn't all that great and there carbon doesn't last to long. Me I have d&d and get ragged on all the time but they look good and they're build quality is good. They're alittle loud but I can deal with it. And contrary to what others believe I had mine tuned and with the right map I picked up some power and drivability. It all comes down to what you can afford plain and simple.....

I pulled off the Jardine 2 into 1 and am replacing with an Akrapovic full system.
I was thinking of buying a Tsukigi fill titanium system, but Xtreme Discount Cycles had exhaust blowout special, so I got the Akrapovic full system with carbon cans cheaper than the Tsukigi.
And I must say the fit and finish on the Akrapovic is a work of art. No wonder they charge so much.
The CNC milled aluminum inserts for the exhaust ports match the D-shape of the SP2's and guide the gas into the head pipe. Nice attention to detail for gas flow.
And the welds on that real thin wall stainless tubing is beautiful.
The whole system (pipes, fasteners, springs, and both carbon cans) only weighs 14 lbs.

If anybody wants a Jardine 2 into 1 full system, let me know.
No muffler can, only the exhaust system.
It's stainless, but will need some polishing as it's discolored from heat and road use.

Power band-wise, the torque starts to kick in at about 4000-4500 and the HP bank kicks in at 6000.
On my SP2, it made about 116 HP at rear wheel and around 68-70 Ft/Lbs of torque.

Good choice on the cans. Have u ordered from xtreme before? I was gonna score my exhaust from them awhile back but they jerked me around on the delivery times At 1st it was a week and then they called and said it was on back order and it was gonna be a month. Found another place online and had it in 3 days. Let me know how it works out

Sorry about that. I've been ordering so much stuff for the bike I slipped a cog.

I went back and checked my invoices and found the Akrapovic system came from 58Cycle and not Xtreme Discount Cycle.

And 58Cycle was great to order from.
I ordered the system and received it 3 days later, to my surprise.

Not only did I get an Akrapovic full system with carbon cans (carbon was the only choice) at almost $400 cheaper than the next lowest cost I found, but they also threw in another $10 bucks off for having an order over $200 and shipping was free!!

So I got a warm-fuzzy from that transaction.

you may want to check out dyno numbers, they should be provided by every manf. but only a couple post them on their site. I cant remember for sure but I think micron and m4 do. Ive used both of their products and have been impressed. I have sato on my RC, but had micron on a sv650 and was real impressed with the fit / build quality and the ease of installation. Nothin worse than dropping big coin for a system only to have your bike run worse than the stock system. check out the dyno numbers.

I have d&d and for what I paid I couldn't be happier. Those paired with the pcIII made a huge difference. I made power with mine. Not sure of their specs though. You could try looking on their site but I didn't find anything. I think cause not alot of 51's run them. According to a certain 51 website that everybody thinks is the gospel. The d&d's are a great "bang for the buck". Their only problem was that they are alittle heavier then some of the other aluminum cans out there. If you do decide to go with d&d order them through 58cycle.com. They're great and you'll get them quick.

Do any of the aftermarket kits allow the rear foot pegs? alot of them look like they remove the pegs
Probably most of the low-mount systems and slip-ons mount to the existing passenger peg brackets.
It's the high-mount systems that don't, of course.

Since I never planned to carry passengers, I replaced mine with Sato titanium exhaust hangers. A lot lighter in weight as the stock are cast aluminum.

I bought my Akarapovic titanium full race system from 58Cycle during their year-end exhaust sale.
I paid $1438 including shipping and handling. Had it 3 days from ordering.
