Hello, fellow '51ers. I am new to this forum, and to RCs. I have owned a 'Zuke GSXR 750, a Kawi ZX11 (flyin pig), and most recently, a Duc 999. All great bikes, but pale in comparo to my new love, an '03 RC51. What a machine! I am totally hooked on V-Twin torque.
I bought it used with 4,500 miles (speedo is WAY off, +/- 12%, so not sure of exact milage). It came with a PCIIIr and Erion high mounts as only mods. Now, thanks mostly to ROGUE, I have Sato bonzais (w/ Kyle map), PAIR and flapper removals, Scotts damper, Engine Ice, CRG levers, Galfer SS lines, HRC pads, SpeedoHealer, Dussault undertail, CF radiator fins, hugger and front fender, Vortex 15/41 sprokets (red, to make her shine:cool:) and a gold chain (stayed w/ 530), Vortex spools, a Sargeant seat, flush LED turn signals, and a Zero Gravity DB smoke screen. All this for less than a new Duc!
I have Ohlins (forks and rear shock) on order. After that, I'd like to get Sato rearsets and clip-ons and an HRC 1/4 twist throttle.
I am researching wheels (BSTs?), and would love you guys to help me with what works and what doesn't on this bike. I'm not a mechanic. I've had most work done at my dealership (the mechanic owns an SP-1). I hope to have it on the track at the end of the month. I can't wait to pick all your brains.:eek:
