YOu've probably heard about these already, but they're coming down the pipe from Honda for the coming model season. Not much info on them yet other than a first impression on the web of the 1100, and some hype on the Wing, but I'll be in Toronto early next week for the intro and will bring yis all up to speed on the Canadian editions anyway.

The CBR600rr has a different 'feel' about it now, has much more similarity to it's 1000cc brother when you sit on it. Would have been nice to ride all the new bikes, but that's life.
The CB1100 is a bit of a memory lane exercise, but it's overpriced for what it is, $13k up here. Which is out of touch really when you consider the tech of a similarly priced CBR600 that will outrun, outhandle, outbrake the I-4 aircooled dino-lump. But there's so few of them being produced, they'll sell out in no time; under 100 across Canada, so I'd be surprised if there's more than a thousand for the States.
The CB500 look and feel interesting, but with no live seat time it's hard to say what they're really like on the road. Definitely more performance minded than the NC700s (higher reving and more sport orientated) so I think they'll be a good mid size model.

If Honda made an updated and upsized VFR800 (say lighter, more sporting VFR1000), then I'd say quite possibly (and no, that VFR1200 lump is not what I'm referring to).

Other than that, the CBR1000RR is about it, and there's not enough quantum difference between it and the 2008 for me to justify several thousand more dollars in price.

So I'll keep my old trusty steed (the RC51), and shop for bargain used bikes.

Agreed SubSailor. What did surprise me was the amount of hints by both the Honda execs and the DSMs and training staff about rumoured (yeah we've heard it all before) new stuff coming down the pipe for 2014 and 2015, not just the V4 RC model. One of my closest associates (whom I do test rides and training with) is very excited about future offerings from Honda. I mentioned the "also ran" thing regarding the sport bikes and not having a class leader for so long. He smiled and said "wait".

Sometimes I just hate my job, the things I get subjected to and the lengths I go to just to bring information back to the dealership! Oh, my eyes:D
