Hello guys heres my story... rode a rc about three years ago and fell in love... saved saved saved saved for years then aquired enough to buy one... bought one on super bowl sunday in san fransisco... ran out of gas on the bay bridge... got back to sacramento three hourse after buying... at half time took a ride with 11 of my buddies... on a river road doing 60 on a hard left a dog was in my lane just missed the dog and my front tire caought the gravel on the side of the levey front end smashed into a tree cracked forks bla bla bla you can see for your self in the pictures i post... havnt seen the bike after the crash till today figures it was a total mess and had already posted it on craigslist for parts... also i never reported it to my insurance yet dont really know why but ya.. walked into myfriends back yard and seen that it wasnt all that bad... turned the key and it fired right up, oil stareted shooting out every where but very fixable... my question to you guys because im new to cycles but do auto swaps regulary is what parts are interchangablethe for sure parts that are broken and i would like to know are swapable are the forks, rims, tripple and the spine... or maybe is there a whole front end i can swap with??? and also if you have parts you would like to sell to me that would be great! Sorry i couldnt put more time into this post i had plans on it but unfortunatly my time was cut... thank you for all you help! ... well i was going to post pictres but its taking forever so this is the url to the pictures... again thanks for your help!

Damn bro, that's a crappy bit of luck. :(
Hope you get it sorted out.
Whose F#^%KING dog was running on the Hwy? Was it the Garden Hwy levy road? I'd be confronting the dogs owner if I could figure out whose dog it was!
If you report the accident, it's an 'at fault', your rates will rise for all your vehicles, and you take a 1 point hit on your DL.

lol

Ya that's why I didn't report the crash... and for the dog who knows. It ran off right after the crash. I have tried rcparts i just don't ordering parts online or over the phone. I like to match up and compare before i buy.

I just read that the 929 forks will fit my rc can anyone confirm this?

From the looks of it in the pictures it must have a bent frame.....
Anyway, I wouldn't fix it....it is quite gone. Part it out and sell whatever is good and buy another one. Or you can keep it for spares for the new one (which probably will never need).....
Thank God you're OK......

dang, that's a raw deal there! So you owned it for less than one day before totalling it? Did it have a clean title to begin with?

Parting out sucks takes a lot of time and work , don't forget all the shipping costs , look on ebay for the RC51 there's parts for days look what there selling for , like there is a 04 frame going for under $300 clean title . You sure you can't fix it as for labor it will be almost the same as taking it apart to sell , plus parting out sucks in the end . Your left with a lot of parts that don't sell PS it mite take months to sell , i would put it up on stands and rebuild then you will know your bike , and learn

Funny thing, the first time I looked at your pictures, I didn't figure out how to enlarge them from the thumbnails. Today I saw them at normal size, and yeah, your frame is definatly way bent.
I live in the area, and I rebuilt my bike from a mild lowside about a year ago. What I see in your pictures would take minimum $2500 and at least 6 months to find (used) all the parts you need and rebuild time.
If you have insurance, use it. Or part it out. RC51Anthony is completely right about the whole selling parts process. But it's a way to recover some of your loss...
