I scored another Nicky bike today, too good of a deal to not grab, just got back home from driving up to WA to pick it up!

She's a little rough and needs some love but I think I have most all the parts needed. (y)

Dropped the bike off at my buddies shop, she's well over due for some spa time, while up there she'll be getting new rubber, all new fluids, brakes, lines, servicing etc.

TBD on what direction I go with this one, but it sure is nice to have options. :giggle:

Here's some pics of how she looked when I bought her, rideable if it didn't have a screw in the back tire, but has sat for a bit so not trusting the fluids, tank looks good no rust inside.

Thanks, I'm actually undecided on the Lady Bird high mount exhaust and am thinking about putting on a set of low mounts that I already have so that I can run an oem undertail and blinkers etc. I need to marinate on that a bit more but if anyone is looking for and interested in buying this set of Lady Bird high mounts feel free to send me a message and offer, they're Titanium and slip-ons attaching to the oem header, I'd be keeping the oem header though for my other low mounts.
I might be interested in the Lady Birds. We're neighbors so you'll cut me a deal right? ;)

Neighbor deal indeed sir and wouldn't have to ship them, throw me an offer. I'm still trying to decide though if I should leave them on or put on my low mount Sato's, I feel like I change my mind a dozen times a day. I think this will be my rider to help me keep the miles low on the other one, TBD...
She's up at my buddies shop making friends... 🥰

I'm going to start pulling all the parts needed together this weekend and see what I'm missing. Good times, something about new projects always gets me excited!

Just got back from my buddies shop, the foundation for the build sheet is done based on what we see visually, TBD if we find any other issues once we start tearing it down. I knew she needed love so nothing too surprising, I won't be shocked if the rescue $ is more than the bike purchase $, but she'll be a great rider for me for many years to come hopefully.

It’ll be worth the money you spend on it, if not just to keep another one of these bikes on the road then it’ll be for the pleasure of riding it

As you saw in the pics, the upper fairing is damaged, left side is toast, and right side has a slider hole drilled in it. I've been hoarding a bunch of oem bodywork for building a 2nd set for my other Nicky bike so I guess I'm now building the bodywork for this Nicky bike, fun to be able and put this stuff to use finally.

I bought a couple sets of the aftermarket oem replica sticker sets, pic and link below, the quality of the sticker kit is quite good I recommend it.

I have a 2003 oem upper I'm using for this, along with oem left & right sides from a 2002. Below pics are the stickers I'll be using from the kit.

Inputs please...

I've got this set of Woody stickers I bought off ebay awhile back, I just measured and they are the exact same size as the oem ones.

I'm thinking of using the ones holding the USA flag instead of the oem checkered flag, what do you folks think, keep it oem looking or go with the USA flag?

Have to say I have never seen the U.S. flag woody before but I like it, and nice find!

Also, I am very interested in the banzai’s if you choose to change them, I have the low mount version of those and would like the banzai’s to change it up every now and then. The sticker set on eBay looks great, keep us posted on the application, might get a set to fix some issues on lowers and tail section

Making slow progress on the decals, I got the white number plate on the upper done, patience and lots of water misting is the key, the rest of the stickers should be easier as they're all flat, for the contours on the upper a blow dryer helped a lot.

Thanks, I think at least for now I'm gonna keep the Lady Bird banzai slip-ons on this bike, going over the bike in more detail I realized the PO had to cut a couple small notches in the oem tail to fit them, so at this point since the tail is already cut and and the pipes are mounted I'll leave it be and focus on other area's first.

Agreed, well worth the spend now given the low price on the bike purchase itself. (y)
