You can "jump" it with a paperclip and it'll cause the light on the dash/speedo to flash a certain number of times in a particular sequence that will reveal what a stored "trouble code" (DTC) represents.

Check out the factory workshop manual for a full explanation of what each DTC means or they might have been posted already somewhere on the msg board if you run a search (?).

As previously stated, that is the green service connector and if jumped and bike switched on, will give blink fault codes for various faults the ECU has detected.

Be aware though, that the ECU stores all fault conditions, regardless of age, unless cleared after the condition is corrected. This can lead one astray for new faults if not done.

The idea is to clear the faults once fixed, so any new faults will be current.

Thanks for link on the service manual! I had downloaded a different service manual from scribd - but this manual is more complete.
