Here are the things i do to my bike pre-winter
1. Pull battery and put it on a battery tender
2. Put water remover/fuel treatment in gas.
3. Put bike on stands.
Also, cover it if there is any chance of small animal hibernation possible.
A lot of people say you need to turn the front wheel 5 times, sprinkle it with holy water and a bunch of other crazy stuff, but doing these 3 things has let my bike start instantly and run perfectly winter after winter. Good luck!
