Received the Racetorx chain adjuster in the mail, bunch of parts in a box with no instructions.

Anyone have any tips for the install? There are a couple parts in the box that I have no idea where they go!

Thanks,
Jim

I worked with Dale on the Chain adjusters. Post up a couple of pix of the parts you're not sure about. It's pretty easy to install.

1. Pull the axle
2. Remove the blocks and adjuster bolts for the blocks that the axle goes through on the outside of the swing arm
3. Install the proper chain adjuster per side and secure to the swing arm with the screw aimed towards the front of the bike (the shape of the slide by the large hole will match the side the axle goes through (parallel flats and the nut side has a arced slot.
4. Install and secure the retainers that hold the chain adjuster to the back edge of the swingarm.
5. Adjust the actual sliders using the bolt on the end of the adjuster so the 2 holes in the adjuster are about even.
6. Slide your axle through
6. Adjust your chainslide to get the proper slack in the chain and tighten the nut on the axle.
7. Install and secure the lifters if yours are equipped with them.

Any other questions, let me know...

I will get a photo of all the parts in question.

Does anyone have a close up of theirs installed?

Its kind of a dark picture but you can get the idea of how it installs. This is the right side chain adjuster. 2nd picture is a little lighter but not as close up. Hope these help..

2 short screws hold the chain adjuster to the swing arm where the original honda bolt went ( in the front of the adjuster - opposite end from the screw that is part of the adjuster) . You'll need to screw the adjuster rearward as far as you can to get clearance for an allen wrench to secure those.

The 2 black parts with the sharp corners on them are used to hold the chain adjuster to the swing arm at the end of the swing arm. They go with the sharp corners in toward the wheel and pointing to the front of the bike and the screwed into the chain adjuster. I believe the flat head screws hold the 2 black pieces to the chain adjuster - I think they seat in the 2 black parts - the holes should be recessed for them. the 2 other screws are for the lifters. I am assuming you got those with the chain adjusters. Those are aimed from the outside of the bike towards the center.

This link shows some pictures and drawings from Racetorx's site. They show in one picture the lifters assembled to an axle and show how the black pieces that you have secure to the adjuster. It's the second picture down and 2nd from the right in the gallery section of their site... https://racetorx.co.uk/gallery/

Hope this helps. Not hard to install at all.

Yes. U just need to support the wheel in the installed position (height) and slide the axle out, install your lifters, reinstall the axle, adjust chain tension, and tighten axle nut.
