Radial Brake Mod

Hi

Just wondering if someone made a bracket that would allow you to mount radial brakes to an RC. I would like to do this mod, but I don't want to have to get a different front end.

If I had to get a new front end what would work?

Any info would be great.

There was a company that used to make replacement caliper brackets for radial brakes, but I've heard they no longer do this.

From what I've read, the RC51 has excellent brakes for non-radial design, and the biggest improvement will come from proper pad material selection and a radial master cylinder and braided lines.

Choice of new front end? Ohlins R&T forks of course!

As a side note, I happened to glance at one of Honda's concept bikes and it's forks looked exactly like RC51 forks (compression adjuster knob on front) except with radial brakes. Amazing.

FWIW, for the price of the PVM's and having someone put them on, I would do the following and use the leftover cash for track/race days and a set of DOT race tires.

Brembo master
Vesrah SRJL17's brake pads
Your choice of stainless steel brake lines
Motul brake fluid or if you got the cash, Castrol SRF Synthetic Racing Brake Fluid (the mac-daddy of brake fluid).
Ok, just to stir the pot, here's a link to a company in Australia that will be making the radial adapters in near future.
When? Who knows, but at least you can see what they look like.

If you want killer brakes, then in addition to all the other recommended mods, you can install Brembo upgrade kit with calipers & rotors.
It will cost around $1300-1500 for the kit, but it will stop very, very well.

And also, if you look in the list, you'll also see the TurnOne airbox and intake parts as well.
That's exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks
