This winter i was noticing a small coolant leak from my bike, which stopped when it was running, or as the weather warmed up. Anyway, i took it to my bike shop, and my mechanic told me i had a damaged hose, and it needed to be replaced. SOOO, he ordered one from Honda, and its on back order to possibly 2 months! So he went to the local automotive store, and got one for a car, he told me it was thee same heat radiance, size, and material, and it would work just fine. Can anyone confirm this, or speak on it? it makes sence, but ive just never heard if it before....what do you think?

Most radiator hoses are made from similar synthetic rubber, the difference being the shape an size to fit the intended application.

However some premium aftermarket hoses are made from silicone rubber which copes with heat, fluids, and ozone much better, but is a tad more expensive.

Which hose are you having problems with?
And have tried contacting the popular online OEM parts sites? They may have them in stock.
