Rookie mistake, dove in to replace chain and sprockets and now the clutch wont work. Please help, weather is perfect and i wanna ride

Bleed it even though I never cracked the hydraulics? I didn't remove the hydraulics from the front sprocket case

When you remove the front cover you can't take the clutch assembly off the cover. You need to keep that one bolt in there that holds it in.

BTW, did you make sure you slid the rod back in place?

Rod in place? there is a brass pin that i figured was that clutch actuator, it in in the engine case just forward of the sprocket. What position should it be in?

Yes, that is the rod I am taking about. When you remove the sprocket cover that rod can slide right out. On my bike it was pretty gummed up so I wiped it clean before sliding it back in when I had changed the sprocket.

if that is in place, did you remove the bolts that hold the clutch line in place? When changing the sprockets you cannot remove the one bolt. I'd do as suggested above.
