I'd say anywhere from a 5 to 6 ohm power resistor with a rating of 20 to 50W should be good.
The ones with a metal exterior should be more durable than the all ceramic ones.
I'd say about $5.00 each I believe.

Radio Shack has them, or you can find them online at many places.
went to radio shack. nothing. where do i look now?
Try an electronics supply store.
They should have a selection of power resistors.
Here is the info I was given.....

Radio Shack P.N. 271-120 or equivalent. 8 ohm 20 watt sand cast wire
wound resistor. If you go with an equivalent resistor, we recommend a
minimum of 20 watts and 8 ohms.

To install:

Simply install a resistor in parallel with each flushmount turn signal. We recommend attaching leads to the
resistor to give you more mounting flexibility. This way you can mount
the resistor further away from the signal and just run the wires from the
resistor to the signal. You will connect one end of the resistor to the
signals positive (power) wire and the other end to the signals negative
(ground) wire.
