I was wondering if anyone has saddlebags that work on thier rc51 i would like to get some i go for a lot of longer rides and don't like wearing a backpack all the time but haveing problems with finding saddle bags due to the fact that i have a hotbodies undertail on my bike and my current saddlebags sit on top of my exaust and keep burn the bags

i bought a double tank bag. motopak on ebay. rapid transit also makes a nice one. these bags are tall enough to be able to rest your chest and chin on top while riding. takes the weight off your arms. it's like laying down, very comfy.

the sad part is i've had my my tank bag for about three years and haven't had a chance to use it yet :(

Saddle bags are for Cruisers....Not Rc51's. I suggest a tank bag or getting a different bike that would better accommodate saddlebags, for when you go on your long rides. I dont know about you but long rides on a Rc51 are very uncomfortable, i can't stay on mine for more then 1-2 hours tops. I don't know your finacial situation but i have both the Rc51 for when i want to hit up the mountain roads and have the need for speed, and i have the Cruiser for when im in the relaxed long trips mood. :D

I love the UP. I've been wanting to get back up there on a bike trip. Last time was in an RV.

Have you looked into a tailbag/tankbag combo?

A company called DEI makes a product called Cool Tape. It's available through Summit, Jegs and other auto/performance parts sellers. It works well.
