this is why I love doing all my own work, was changing the oil and cleaning the under side a bit and found a small crack in the front cylinder header. Can i weld it up or do i have to get a new header all together?? Hoping I'll be able to weld it just need some advice first...........thanks.

At worse, the crack would propagate and the tubing could separate from the flange.
That section gets hot and expands and contracts a bit, plus the vibration.
I would try to get it welded as soon as possible just to be sure.

Hello,
If its not to late and you are tig welding the crack purge the inside of the pipe this will give you a better quality weld as the inside of the pipe/weld will be protected by the sheilding gas the same as the out side.
