I have done a ton of searching, and it has only served to confuse me more. One of the things I need help with is knowing if I need to worry about shortening top out springs on my SP1? Some places I've read no, and some yes. If I don't need to worry about the top out springs, do I still need to worry about spacers and negative sag? Can I set my sag normally with my SP1 fork? Some people say yes, some say no If someone could give me definate answers to these questions before I pull my hair out I would really appreciate it.

The stock top out spring on RC51 forks is one of the longest of any bike.
And no one knows why they did this.
The stock SP2 top out spring is around 150mm (2") long.

Previously my forks were revalved by Kyle Racing and they use a 25mm top out spring.
It's located at the top of the cartridge where the piston shaft bushings are.

I've been disassembling my forks to install the Traxxion-Dynamics AK-20 cartridge kit.
The T-D top out spring is 28mm long and is located near the rebound valve.

On both, the oil lock piece is not used. Instead, the oil level is used to control full compression travel via air spring effect..
