Hello,

I just want to hear it from you guys with experience on this issue.
I have a SP2 with 25k on it. When running, pull in the clutch lever, the weird noise and vibration stops. When let go there is a vibration other than the motor n what not and a sound like bad bearings in transmission or clutch!

Now I took the clutch cover off. Took the pressure plate and springs off. No heat wear on Pressure plate. The meat on the disks look really low and the further I go down in disks the heat wear on the plates is very noticeable. Now the clutch doesn't slip!! Nor does it slip in higher gears.

Can someone tell me other than I know I need a new clutch, is the vibration from that bad clutch basket in the link below? Its part #2 and the needle bearing? How do I know there bad? There is side to side movement with the disks siting inside that basket. Is that normal? Thanks.

Have you pulled the clutch basket to inspect the needle bearing and the clutch guide (the matching needle bearing rolling surface) for wear or damage?
Also, how are the condition of the drive gears for the clutch basket?

If the disks are blued and the friction disks glazed, you should replace those.
Do the fingers on the basket show deep wear grooves?
Was this bike tracked or raced?
