As part of my ECU upgrade on the SP2, I decided to swap out the stock fans for SPAL units—a pretty popular mod for these bikes. In the process, I designed some custom mounting brackets to fit the fans properly. I’m sharing the drawings here for anyone who wants to use or adapt them. These are specifically for the SP2—sorry, no SP1 version available from me.
If you're planning to make the brackets yourself, feel free to use the drawings I’ve provided. You could also use them as a reference to create tab mounts if that suits your setup better.
There are already several posts on the forum that walk through the fan upgrade install, so I won’t repeat that info here—definitely check those out if you're looking for guidance.
Note: These brackets are designed to work only with SPAL fan models 30103013 and 30103011. If you're using a different fan, you may need to modify the brackets accordingly. Fortunately, I'm also providing the full solid models to download (along with all of the drawings and .dxf files). available here I would attach to the post, but we cannot upload .zip files. I believe Wibbly still sells these brackets, so if you're looking to purchase a set, check the classifieds. If he’s no longer offering them, I’d be open to selling a few sets myself for those interested—but please reach out to Wibbly first.
