Hi all,
Just about to replace the chain and sprockets on my 2000 sp1, there is stock sizes fitted at the moment 16 and 42,
However just checked in my old SP box and found brand new front and rear sprockets sizes 14 front and 44 rear.....
Has anyone used this set up before and is it worth trying ?

any advice would be great the bike is used on the road and also track days

It should work its gonna be a wheelie monster 3.14 ratio. I run a 15/41 seen others run 42 and 43. I run a 15/45 on my VFR800 ie 3.00 ratio

Hi Phil. Happy new year.
As VFR750 said should be fine.. But might cause a little light endedness up front. I would imagine it would be tame compared to your RG though 😄

Hi, I think VFR750 will be fine. Well here are also many n options like VFR800 ie 3.00 ratio.
