I buy bike and either build them or part them out. It is a hobby more than a buisness. I found a bank repo that had been wrecked. It was a sport bike. Kinda out of my league but I,m always game for something I think I can make moey off of. It had no skin on it. It was muddy around it. The bank had had it for 6 months cause of it condition and had had one bid from a guy who had got it running but never came back to pick it up.I bid on it. 700 dollars lol more as a joke than anything and the next day they called me. I know own the bike. I ran the vin and found out it was a 2002 rvt 1000r and it runs like a champ. I now don,t have the heart to dismantle it, so I am going to put it back together with the help of you guys and I hope my regular job keeps going well. Any advice is welcome. I kinda like the bike and will probably loose my butt.

From my experience, the service manual and parts list are your friends.
You will spend a lot of time reading both.
That and the OEM parts online stores.
