Greetings from the UK, picked up an RC51 with about 40,000 miles, think they are a bit rarer over here in the UK.

Absolutely loving the bike, coming from an f4i which I still own.

The 51 has akrapovic slip ons, complete crash protection and that's pretty much it. Any advice on worth while mods for this bike?

And what tyres are people running? It came with battlax tyres which I'm not a huge fan of

Thanks

1) The best mod for the money is to upgrade the suspension front/rear.
2) If it doesn't already have one, a Power Commander unit is recommended to allow proper air/fuel rations across the board. as opposed to the OEM lean settings.
3) The OEM final ratio (16/40) is very high, so a front/rear sprocket change to a ration along the lines of 15/41 to 43 (or mathematical equivalent) allows the engine to rev fully, and save the clutch on starts.
4) Depending on your use (track, street, combined track/street), tires can be subjective.
If you primarily ride the bike on the street at less than 9/10ths, sport/touring tires can be a better price/performance ratio. They are quite good these days, with most being multi-compound long wearing centers and softer sides.

Hello and welcome from another fellow UK resident.
Have you got an sp2 or an sp1?
A powercommander as has been said is the way to go for the fueling but with having a set of akrapovic`s on im guessing you will already have one on the bike, another one is 1 tooth lower on the front sprocket and 1 up on the rear (16 front down to 15 + 40 rear up to 41) when it comes time to change your chain and sprockets. Your Speedo will now over read by quite a bit more so you may be doing 25 mph really but your Speedo is showing 30 mph. For that you need a Speedohealer and a sat nav showing a speed reading. It's easy to program the Speedo healer.
After that how deep are your pockets
