Hey guys,

Would someone be able to offer me some advice on if this is repairable and if so how to go about doing it please? I was thinking plastic weld using a soldering iron and then some bondo/whatever (i read a thread on it but cant remember the name) to smooth it out fill in the gaps but still have it flex.

Thanks
Rossco

My fairings were a mess when I got my bike. My good friend was expoerienced with plastic weld so he fixed them for me. Three years later and almost 20,000 miles, I'm still running this front fairing and all the repairs held tight.

He owns a full blown collision repair shop now, so he's always slammed busy. I'll be lucky if I can get him to paint my fairings this winter, and that's me doing all the prep work.

I'm talking to him this weekend, I'll find out all the details for you.
I'm a believer in this system; we know our bikes put out a fair amount of vibration and all the cracks he fixed have not reappeared.
