I work in Waynesboro, I could meet you halfway some time, I know some great roads that head out to Richmond, but the BEST stuff dances around the Blue Ridge, and the Shenandoah, where I live! You will love the hell out of that RC, it's an awesome bike! I sold my bought-as-new CBR 929RR to buy it, I've never looked back, My RC is a keeper!

BTW, my oldest son is out in Richmond at the VA State Police Academy, he's going to Trooper school. Ruh Roh, Cop in the family!

yeah ive got a few roads down here but i normally head up to NOVA or west virginia for more "spirited" riding
What's "spirited" in NOVA, but traffic?

I live just 30 miles East of West Virginia off RT250. My location/playground includes RT 39 into WVA, RT 250 into WVA, (arguably the most wicked run over the mountains) and RT33 into WVA. All three of these routes are within a half hour of my house, and Sunday morning while the area sleeps/prays I'm out on the RC making the Samurai within SING!!! HE, HE!! :D

Skyline sucks due to the 35 mph speed limit, my arms ache at that speed! Plus there seems to be an abundance of park police HELL BENT on enforcing the silly limit!

Want a nice day ride? try taking Midlothian tpke RT 56, from Richmond, all the way to Rt 11 near Staunton!! There are some wicked technical turns, small, well paved and banked backroad, made just to test your abilities! I like Sundays, as I described, the roads are mostly empty, come afternoon, whole different matter! I moved from Connecticut to western, rural Virginia just because I love these roads so much! That, and the lack of idiot Northern maniacs in cars!

What up E-Loc....awesome on the stuntn...checked out ur myspace page...look forward to meetn u in spring 2010!!
Yes sir. It will be here before we know it. I havent ridden the street much since 05. My ZX6R (now ZZR600) is outdated and I just got tired of riding the street. Hopefully this new RC51 I got will keep me on the streets like the year I first got my ZX6. Nothing better than a pack of RC51's, a flock of beautiful beasts. Thanks for the props on the stunting...

I'm another 929 to RC convert. My 929 is now in Fredericksburg. Should any of you see a red/black/white with gold wheels, it is my old 929. The RC is a '05. I bought it with 4608 miles from the original owner, who only rode it 200 miles last year.

I love it so far and the RC does take some getting used to compared to the 929, but I love it. A keeper for sure! The looks I catch with the Sato's:eek:

Well who made it????

Well guys I know this is an older thread but I just was wondering if any of you guys got together yet this year. I road some the first of summer and spring a little but my Leukemia came back the 2nd of Aug. I have spent the last month in UVA but am home now. Hope to be strong enough to ride some first of the week at least. Won't be doing any long rides but I'm going to get out there no matter what it takes. This bike is great therapy!!:D It got me through many rough nights looking forward to getting back on it. :)
Hope all you local RC freaks have had a safe and enjoyable year. One word of warning it is going to be a really TIGHT weekend with the Blue light boys so everybody be good !:D TAKE CARE HOOVY

James,
Good to hear from you! Sorry you were sick again. I lost the summer riding season due to knee surgery. It took all of 4 weeks to get my knee to bend into the "comfortable" riding position of my RC. My surgeon would laugh when I told him I was "form fitting" my knee each day to my bike!

I've been occupying my time putting together a 1975 SOHC CB 750, a nostalgia trip to my younger days. I've just got to get the forks I picked up on there and away I go! I definitely would like to hook up and ride, two of my sons ride now, my oldest, Dan a VSP trooper, has a 2003 CBR 954, and my youngest son Andrew rides my wife's Hawk GT. I'm away this weekend in PA moving in my middle son, but I'll be back around next weekend, Sunday is the best day for me. John
