Winter storage is hitting some of us and the forum slows down a fair amount, so let's have a thread about something different here. Let's see what you cooked for dinner! :smile2: Gotta be some great cooks here and can be an ongoing thread.

I'll start.

Since Thanksgiving is coming soon for you US people, here was my recent thanksgiving cook in Canada. A fresh (never frozen) butterball turkey done on a Weber Summit rotisserie with ceramic IR burner. The skin was awesome, and even the turkey breast came out so tender and juicy. All guests said it was the best.

It's even glistening from the tenderness. Yum!




I kept it simple this year for sides but no pics. Fresh garden skin-on mashed potatoes and turkey gravy, garden cold-pickled pickles and cherry tomatoes, grilled cherry tomatoes, home-made cranberry sauce, home-made cast iron skillet stuffing and a small garden salad. Desert was a gourmet pumpkin pie from a local boutique store with whipping cream.

sorry we dont have TG in holland but i will make a foto off the christmass dinner to make you happy (looks awsome by the way )

Sounds good mc-sp1.nl and thx for the feedback. :smile2:

I'll post up my cooks over time and look forward to seeing others. I love to cook on the grill/bbq. Been spending years refining techniques, recipes and improving equipment.

Here's a ribeye steak. I tried all the stores and butchers in the area and selected the best one for me; it's a smaller butcher shop in the area. This was literally a Thursday night std cook a while back.

You should be able to click the image and zoom in for more detail (depends on which version of this site you are running). Full res is even better than I can post here. Copyright bichez. :) :)

Grilled on the weber summit, 1.5 inch thick front end angus beef ribeye steak, simple seasoning.

Happy US thanksgiving.

Another meal from the grill. Pork shoulder (bone in) on the weber summit for pulled pork. Meatheads memphis dry rub. Smoked with apple, cherry and hickory wood. Grilled low and slow for about 11 hours. Served on fresh buns with apple cider coleslaw. So tasty.





So juicy.

I would show photos, but there's nothing left.
My wife's relatives are related to piranhas.
All we have to show for it are tooth marks on the plates.

I'm surprised there doesn't seem to be much interest in this thread here. I'm on another motorcycle forum where it has been popular.

Well, here's another cook. Chicken drumettes with a double coating of Misty Mountain national bbq competition award winning sauce, grilled on the weber summit.

Here's a pork kebab with a peppery texas grill marinade, done on the weber summit. The plate is 12 inches in diameter so it is a huge kebab with almost a pound of meat. Zoom in and see the juicy tenderness. :)

Here is a 1/2 pound steakhouse burger I prepared and grilled on the weber summit. Custom coarse grind angus chuck beef (75/25) from my butcher with basic seasoning. I added garden cold-pickled pickles, diced garden white onion, a cheddary processed cheese slice, sweet relish and mustard all on a fresh kaiser bun. It had it all for flavours, rich, sweet, sour.

I'll never do a burger with grocery store off-the-shelf ground beef again.

Hawaiian style pizza, home made dough and sauce with uncured Canadian bacon, pineapple and jalapeño

one more, slow cooked pot roast, shredded on a brioche bun and horseradish sauce, side of kale salad.



It's all about what you put into it, the best ingredients and care putting it together results in maximum eating satisfaction.

Thx back! :) Lots of great food and cooks :smile2: I'm amazed at how well many of these pictures came out too. The inspiration I've gotten over the years from many others doing this on the internet made me a much better cook, and without much more effort. And posts like these are what I like to do to pay it forward; keep showing what may inspire other people to up their cooking/meal game.

Looks great, love the side dish. Tasty! :) And I very much agree on ingredients. Plus the more you use quality food and ingredients everywhere in your cook (instead of 1 or 2 things), the more you will notice the difference and enjoy it.

Enjoy. A holiday ham I cooked on the weber summit grill. Smoked picnic ham, bone-in. Apricot glaze home-made. Sooo good. Also some scratch scalloped potatoes with fresh garden chives. Super easy and super tasty.





Great grain and texture. Excellent meal :)
