Boy this F1 light is a real PITA. Just took my bike around the block, Started it up and was happy not to see the F1 light doing its 1 flash every four seconds "thing". I jump on, lift the stand... and I'm back to a solid red light LOL Why would the stand be part of a circuit that's function is to that check for fuel injection problems? The bike runs outstanding.

It has to do with the kill function when you go to start your bike, in gear and the clutch isn't pulled in. It has probably saved many people from dropping their bikes imo.

That part I understand

What I can't figure out is why, as least in my case. I'll start the bike while its on the stand ( In Neutral) ( light flashing ever 4 seconds) then as soon as I pull in the clutch, raise the stand and go into 1st gear the f1 light comes on?. Is it that the ECU is detecting a problem and as soon as it "sees" the bike going into gear it letting me know of a problem?

There is something triggering the FI light that might not be what you think it is.

You should probably reset the ECU codes and see if it will replicate. Do you have a service manual? That shows you how to reset the error codes and read the error codes.

Thanks. I think I found the answer, According to a posting on the CBR board. the F1 light will flash the code that its finding ( In my case 1 flash or code 10) while its running on the stand. Then go solid red when the stand is up or the bikes in gear. With a little luck I just got to fix the code 10 issue and the problem is solved.
