i'm starting to think about getting tires for this coming not-summer season. i intend to ride this bike all year, except of course for actual accumulated snow. my experience thus far has been alabama and florida where the worst it gets is mildly cold and somewhat rain-y. i put on the jacket liner or wet weather gear, give myself an additional 10 minutes to get to wherever i'm going, clean/ lube the chain every 3 tanks of gas, and get to keep my summer tires on.

virginia, however, gets snow on occasion. more likely are temps in the 40s and below in mid winter and a lot of rock salt on the roads if the forecast calls for even snow flurries.

so, i'm concerned about the right tires to use knowing that there's a strong chance of rock salt/ de-ice out there. is there an appropriate tire or something equivalent to an all-season or winter tire for the rc?
